Often described as frivolous and materialistic, fashion has long been criticized as a superficial concept dominated by feminine interests. If the Women’s March on Washington wasn’t clear enough on disproving all of the false assumptions made on gender roles, it also demonstrated the power of the often dismissed role of fashion.
